Description

As a working student, you will build drone testbeds, support system architecture design and component selection, and assist with test planning and execution. You'll help streamline rapid prototyping and low-to-medium volume manufacturing for our counter-drone systems.

Requirements

  • Background in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a similar field.
  • Hands-on experience with setting up and testing electronic systems (including soldering and measurement equipment).
  • Experience with complex robotics systems, preferably based on ROS 2.
  • Familiar with the usage of Linux-based operating systems.
  • Knowledge of electronics and embedded systems (for example STM32, Nvidia Jetson).
  • Proactive and organized team player.
  • Valid work permit (citizenship or visa) for Germany.
  • Currently enrolled in a university within Germany.
  • Willingness to work in our lab on-site.

Responsibilities

  • Build drone testbeds, including companion computers, flight controllers, sensors, and actuators.
  • Support system architecture design, component selection, and component procurement of next generation airborne systems.
  • Support test planning, execution, and documentation – both in lab and at test sites.
  • Streamline and optimize rapid prototyping and enable low-to-medium volume manufacturing.
