Description

You'll design, develop, and optimize packaging systems for rocket and satellite components, ensuring product protection, regulatory compliance, and cost efficiency. You'll lead packaging validation, cross-functional collaboration, and root cause analysis to deliver scalable packaging solutions that directly impact mission success.

Requirements

• 5+ years packaging engineering in manufacturing, consumer goods, industrial, or aerospace
• Bachelor's degree or 9+ years total work experience
• Strong understanding of corrugate, plastics, foam, molded pulp materials
• Experience with cross-functional teams and external suppliers
• Ability to meet physical demands: sit, use hands/fingers, communicate, commute

Responsibilities

• Design primary, secondary, tertiary packaging solutions
• Develop packaging specifications, drawings, BOMs, validation docs
• Lead validation activities: ISTA, transit, drop, vibration, environmental tests
• Optimize packaging for automation, manufacturability, and line efficiency
• Conduct root cause analysis for packaging failures and support CAPA
