Description

Design and build highly scalable backend services powering CookUnity's core recipe management, using Kotlin, Java, Micronaut/Spring Boot, and Temporal. Collaborate with chefs, supply chain, and operations to streamline meal production at scale, with opportunities to contribute to internal dashboards and UIs.

Requirements

• 6+ years backend experience with Kotlin and/or Java
• Experience with Micronaut or Spring Boot
• Hands-on experience with React Next.js
• Strong understanding of microservices and distributed systems
• Proficiency in SQL databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL)

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain backend services using Kotlin and Java
• Architect scalable microservices with Micronaut or Spring Boot
• Implement workflow automation with Temporal
• Optimize database performance (PostgreSQL, MySQL)
• Perform code reviews and mentor junior engineers
