Description

In this contract role, you will act as a trusted advisor for strategic accounts, designing and implementing scalable, secure, and reliable GCP solutions. You'll lead architecture discussions, guide CI/CD practices, and provide technical expertise to help clients achieve their cloud goals.

Requirements

• 5+ years of GCP experience.
• Proven experience in building, architecting, designing, and implementing globally distributed cloud-based systems.
• Strong understanding of API-first design principles and API management platforms like Apigee.
• Extensive experience with security (zero trust) and networking in cloud environments.
• Capable of advising and implementing CI/CD practices using GitHub, GitLab, Cloud Build, Cloud Deploy, and concepts like GitOps and GitFlow.
• Experience in containerizing workloads using Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, and Artifact Registry.
• Knowledge of technology solutions and ability to learn emerging technologies.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and influence audiences.
• Excellent organizational skills and customer-facing communication.
• Proficiency in documentation and knowledge transfer using remote meetings, documents, and slide decks.
• Experience with hybrid connectivity using VPN or Cloud Interconnect is a plus.
• Nice to have: 2 Google Cloud professional certifications, Bachelor's degree in related field.

Responsibilities

• Build trusted advisory relationships with strategic accounts and engage with management.
• Act as a technical subject matter expert for the Google Cloud ecosystem, explaining complex concepts clearly.
• Identify customer priorities, technical objections, and design strategies to deliver business growth.
• Lead requirements gathering and project scoping.
• Solution design, problem-solving, and architecture diagramming.
• Provide domain expertise on public cloud and enterprise technology, promoting Google Cloud at events.
• Offer technical expertise on CI/CD, infrastructure, monitoring, alerting, and security.
• Provide recommendations on integration strategies, enterprise architectures, and application infrastructure.
• Assist in delivering technical solutions including CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure builds/migrations.
• Provide Engineer-to-Engineer and Architect-to-Engineer support, including whiteboard sessions and Q&A.
• Travel to customer sites, conferences, and related events as required.
