💼 About This Role

You'll design and own Whop's compliance program across all business lines, working closely with Product, Payments, and Leadership to build compliance into our platform. You'll own regulatory strategy and operational compliance from AML/KYC to trust safety and privacy. This role is part of our Legal, Compliance and Risk function.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design, build, and scale Whop's overall compliance program
• Own AML/KYC, sanctions screening, and transaction monitoring programs
• Manage trust safety frameworks and merchant underwriting
• Ensure new crypto/stablecoin features are compliant by design

📋 Requirements

• 7+ years in compliance or AML/KYC at payments/fintech/marketplace companies
• Experience with regulatory ambiguity and translating unclear rules into defensible positions
• Strong with numbers, metrics, and operational details
• High agency and builder mindset as a cross-functional partner

✨ Nice to Have

• Exposure to crypto/stablecoins
• Experience with payments compliance
• Background in privacy and data protection (GDPR, CCPA)
