Description

As a Senior Fleet Accountant at Lyft, you will handle lease and fleet accounting, including ASC 842 compliance, monthly close procedures, and cross-functional collaboration. You'll report to the Sr. Accounting Manager and help develop scalable processes to support new initiatives.

Requirements

• 4-year degree in Accounting/Finance; CPA preferred
• 4+ years accounting experience including Big 4 and large multinational organizations
• Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
• Accounting research and problem-solving skills; detail-oriented and able to multitask
• ERP experience (Oracle, Lease Accelerator a plus); ASC 842 knowledge strongly desired

Responsibilities

• Review and assess new leases, modifications, terminations and update lease accounting system
• Execute monthly/quarterly close procedures: journal entries, reconciliations, flux analysis, disclosure reports
• Work with cross-functional partners including FP&A, Fixed Assets, Technical Accounting, SEC Reporting
• Prepare supporting documents for external auditors and internal controls for SOX compliance
• Assist in developing scalable accounting processes and participate in system implementations
