Description

You will lead environmental health and safety programs across multiple sites and jurisdictions at CZI, partnering with Legal, Security, Facilities, and Biohub Lab Operations to ensure compliance and mitigate risk. Your work directly supports scientists and educators tackling complex challenges in biology and learning.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and at least 8 years of relevant EHS experience.
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, Fire/Life Safety regulations.
• Experience in corporate and college/university campus environments.
• Advanced degree in Environmental or Occupational Health, Safety Management, or related field.
• Experience overseeing EHS programs across multiple states and jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee environmental health, safety, risk management, and vendor programs across all locations.
• Develop and implement health and safety protocols including engineering controls, administrative controls, and PPE recommendations.
• Manage biological, chemical, and laboratory-specific waste disposal programs.
• Design and maintain comprehensive EHS training programs and associated documentation.
• Serve as primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and maintain licenses/certifications.
