💼 About This Role

You'll lead a team of security engineers building foundational security infrastructure at Plaid, a fintech company powering financial connectivity. You'll own the roadmap for encryption, auth, CI/CD, and network security, making the secure path the easy path for every engineer. This role offers the opportunity to shape Plaid's AI and MCP security strategy.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of security engineers.
• Own the technical roadmap for core security capabilities.
• Partner with product teams to deliver self-service security infrastructure.
• Drive secure-by-default adoption across engineering.

📋 Requirements

• 8–14 years of software engineering experience overall.
• ~6+ years in engineering management roles.
• Strong technical background in auth, encryption, identity in AWS and K8s.
• Experience managing engineers in security, platform, or infrastructure context.

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience designing AI/ML/Agentic platforms (tool-calling, MCPs).
• Familiarity with AI security and governance risks.
• Experience at a fintech or high-technology organization.
