You'll own the design, development, and delivery of flight-critical spacecraft mechanisms from concept through on-orbit operation. You'll drive architecture, analysis, and cross-functional integration for actuators, deployables, and precision moving assemblies. 🎯 What You'll Do

  • Own end-to-end design of spacecraft mechanisms from concept through flight
  • Drive trade studies and make vs. buy decisions with cross-functional teams
  • Perform first-principles analysis and FEA to size components
  • Develop and execute test plans, analyze results, and iterate designs
  • Own hardware through build, integration, and test in hands-on environments

📋 Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
  • 4+ years experience designing and delivering mechanical systems or mechanisms
  • 1+ years leading technical teams or projects
  • Proficiency with CAD (NX, CATIA, SolidWorks) and FEA tools (ANSYS, Nastran)

  • Experience with spacecraft or aerospace mechanisms
  • Familiarity with environmental testing (vibe, thermal, vacuum)
  • Hands-on machining, assembly, or hardware bring-up experience
