Description

As Associate Director of Discovery Process Chemistry, you will lead CRO teams in route evaluation, optimization, and scale-up of key intermediates to support medicinal chemistry and process development for novel RAS-targeted cancer therapies. You will manage technology transfer from discovery to CMC and collaborate with cross-functional teams to accelerate drug development.

Requirements

• PhD or MS in organic chemistry or related discipline
• 5+ years experience in medicinal chemistry or pharmaceutical process R&D
• Strong foundation in synthetic organic chemistry
• Proficiency in NMR, LC-MS, HPLC
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Monitor project progress and support material needs of building blocks and intermediates
• Explore route scouting and optimization of key building blocks and intermediates for development candidates
• Propose chemistry for building blocks and intermediates including route evaluation and process optimization using flow chemistry, photochemistry, biocatalysis
• Manage internal and external teams to scale up intermediates from gram to kilogram scale
• Manage technology transfer from discovery chemistry to CMC process chemistry
