Description
As Hut 8's Director of Preconstruction, you'll lead preconstruction strategy for large-scale data center developments, serving as the bridge between design, finance, procurement, and construction. Your work ensures projects are budgeted, scheduled, and ready for flawless execution.
Requirements
- 5-10 years of preconstruction, estimating, or project management experience on data center, industrial, or infrastructure projects
- Expertise in budgeting, scheduling, procurement planning, and construction readiness
- Strong knowledge of civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical systems
- Experience aligning capital planning with technical scope across finance and sales organizations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Excel, and construction estimating platforms
Responsibilities
- Lead preconstruction diligence including constructability reviews and infrastructure alignment
- Own project budgeting, cost modeling, and schedule development in coordination with Finance, Sales, and Engineering
- Identify procurement strategies for major equipment and materials considering supply chain volatility
- Evaluate construction approaches and sequencing to optimize timelines and minimize risk
- Develop subcontractor engagement strategies and manage prequalification processes
