Description

As a Senior Modeling and Simulation Engineer, you will lead physics-level modeling, mission and constellation design, and simulation for spacecraft systems. You will develop model-driven analyses to guide hardware engineering and convey the value of AI-powered distributed space systems to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Active U.S. Secret security clearance
• Space mission modeling, simulation, and analysis experience (constellation design, trajectory design, physics-level modeling)
• Spacecraft payload modeling and simulation experience (propulsion, power, thermal, RADAR, SATCOM, EOIR)
• Strong background in orbital mechanics and space environment
• Proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, Python+numpy, scipy

Responsibilities

• Develop model-driven analysis and models for space missions
• Design mission trajectories and constellation designs
• Perform physics-based trade-space analyses for spacecraft payloads and subsystems
• Convey value proposition of AI-powered distributed systems over traditional offerings
• Provide rigorous analytical products to guide hardware engineering and stakeholder decisions
