Description

You will lead a team of three engineers building algorithms, models, and optimization tools that power Carvana's logistics operations, including real-time systems optimizing vehicle movement and delivery dates. You will remain hands-on with code, building APIs and complex system architectures while mentoring your team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar field
• At least 5 years of software engineering experience
• Experience or desire to lead and coach a team of engineers
• Strong coding skills in Python, C#, or JavaScript
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and Kafka

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of three engineers
• Contribute to code, build APIs, and architect complex systems
• Design and implement scalable system architectures for data science and operations research
• Improve testing practices and frameworks
• Build and maintain monitoring solutions using Datadog and Splunk
