You'll lead a team building document ingestion and retrieval systems for a legal AI platform serving top law firms. Your work will directly enable scalable, accurate document understanding at enterprise scale. This role combines hands-on technical leadership with strategic roadmap ownership.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead and grow a team of engineers on document ingestion and retrieval.
• Define and execute a long-term technical roadmap for document processing.
• Collaborate with Product, Infrastructure, and Applied AI teams.
• Stay hands-on: unblock engineers and participate in architecture reviews.

📋 Requirements

• 2+ years of engineering management experience for backend teams.
• 5+ years of hands-on backend systems experience with distributed systems.
• Experience with document ingestion, search systems, or data infrastructure.

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with OCR pipelines, Elasticsearch, or vector databases.
