You'll lead the design and delivery of complex initiatives for Toast's Catering Events team, enabling restaurants to manage catering and event workflows. You'll own system architecture and drive technical strategy. This role offers a chance to champion AI adoption across the organization.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead design and delivery of cross-team initiatives from concept to production
• Own and evolve architecture of critical systems for scalability and reliability
• Drive technical strategy to simplify systems and improve engineering velocity
• Partner with Product, Design, and stakeholders to shape ambiguous problems
• Mentor engineers and promote best practices in code quality and operations

📋 Requirements

• Proven experience leading large-scale distributed systems in production
• Strong backend expertise (Java or Kotlin preferred)
• Experience designing scalable architectures across multiple systems
• Track record of technical leadership and mentoring engineers
