You'll lead a team of 7-12 planning professionals in the Zoning and Design Review Division, managing zoning, platting, and urban design functions. You'll make Fort Worth more livable by guiding development through boards and commissions. This role offers the chance to shape one of the fastest-growing large cities in the U.S.

🎯 What You'll Do

  • Lead, direct, and train team members.
  • Facilitate and manage assigned boards and commissions.
  • Present planning ordinances to diverse audiences.
  • Evaluate and improve team effectiveness.

📋 Requirements

  • Master's degree in Planning, Architecture, Urban Planning, Public Administration, or related field.
  • 5 years of planner experience in zoning, platting, historic preservation, urban design, annexation, tree preservation, or site plan review.
  • 2 years of supervisory or lead planner role.
  • Valid Driver's License.

✨ Nice to Have

  • Extensive experience in land development and regulatory requirements.
  • AICP or CNU-A accreditation.
  • Experience with GIS, permitting software, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
