Description

You will lead the technical vision and strategy for critical areas of SoFi's lending platform, driving cross-team initiatives to deliver incremental value and improve engineering excellence. Collaborate with product, marketing, operations, legal, and compliance teams to build consensus and deliver outstanding member value.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
• 7+ years as a full-time Software Engineer
• 4+ years in a technical leadership role
• Proficient in Java, Kotlin, or similar OOP language
• Experience with Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, Spring Boot, and public cloud

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation across platform domains for multi-team outcomes
• Resolve platform design problems with competing constraints and high risk
• Define long-term architectural direction and incremental execution plans
• Drive alignment across teams and build consensus on technical tradeoffs
• Mentor engineers and participate in recruiting processes
