Description

As a Senior Aerodynamics Engineer on the Neutron team, you will lead aerodynamic analysis and design validation for launch vehicles. You'll perform trade studies, CFD simulations, and generate aero-table databases to guide vehicle development and improve performance across flight regimes.

Requirements

• Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering or similar field
• 5+ years industry experience in aerospace, automotive, or marine with aerodynamics/fluid dynamics focus
• Strong understanding of aerodynamics, heat transfer, dynamics, internal flow
• Experience with CFD packages like Fluent, CFX, STAR-CCM+
• Proficiency in Python and scientific packages (numpy, pandas, scipy, matplotlib)

Responsibilities

• Perform multi-physics analyses of launch vehicle aerodynamics
• Lead implementation of vehicle aerodynamic design changes
• Conduct trade-off studies and system design optimization
• Represent aerodynamic characteristics through aero tables and models
• Own aerodynamic loads, environments, and compartment venting design
