Description

You will ensure the quality and reliability of virtualized development environment tooling (WSL, Docker, Kubernetes, Dev Containers) within IntelliJ-based products. Your automation work strengthens team confidence, supports rapid iteration, and solves complex testing challenges across multiple OS environments.

Requirements

• Proven experience in test automation
• Solid programming skills in Kotlin or Java and understanding of JVM
• Experience with JUnit or TestNG
• Understanding of software testing principles and methodologies
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (TeamCity or similar) and version control (Git)

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scenarios (UI, E2E, functional) across Linux, Windows, macOS, Docker, WSL
• Expand test coverage, reduce flakiness, and automate routine checks
• Debug and troubleshoot test failures, distinguishing product regressions from infrastructure issues
• Optimize test execution time and reliability; contribute to frameworks and tools
• Monitor test results, participate in release quality assessments, and report bugs in YouTrack
