You'll build the systems and experiences that help users, partners, and regulators trust Betterment's platform, working on user privacy and compliance, account access, and fraud prevention. You'll collaborate across security, legal, risk, and product engineering to deliver scalable, reliable solutions.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and implement complex systems for user trust
• Guide full stack development practices within the team
• Collaborate with senior engineering leaders on technology advancement
• Balance user experience, business goals, and control frameworks

📋 Requirements

• Experience designing, building, and operating systems for fraud detection or risk mitigation
• Proven experience scoping and leading technical projects from discovery through release
• Experience in at least one server-side language like Ruby, Java, or Python
• Experience building interactive web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks like React

• Familiarity with building customer-facing tools requiring strong reliability and auditability
• Exposure to domains involving identity, access, privacy, compliance, or financial workflows
