Description

You will lead technical accounting work under US GAAP and statutory reporting, partner with cross-functional teams to provide guidance on complex transactions, develop and maintain accounting policies, and review financial disclosures. This role is fully remote and reports to the Associate Director, SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting.

Requirements

• 6+ years relevant experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA licensure
• 2+ years experience with US-based insurance companies
• 2+ years practical experience in financial reporting

Responsibilities

• Lead technical accounting under US GAAP and statutory reporting
• Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions and business arrangements
• Create and maintain accounting policies, ensuring compliance with new pronouncements
• Work with external auditors on technical accounting matters
• Review financial disclosures in SEC and statutory filings
