You'll contribute to the thermal integrity of hardware powering next-generation LLMs. You'll transition between CAD and lab environments to validate liquid and air-cooled systems. This hands-on role offers end-to-end exposure from simulation to physical testing, with mentorship from senior hardware architects.

๐ŸŽฏ What You'll Do

  • Set up thermal R&D lab infrastructure and sensing equipment.
  • Power and run PCIe accelerator cards for thermal stress testing.
  • Execute wind tunnel testing for aerodynamic characterization.
  • Create CFD models using Simcenter Flotherm.
  • Attach thermocouples and apply TIM for thermal testing.

๐Ÿ“‹ Requirements

  • Pursuing BS, MS, or PhD in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Exposure to Flotherm, Icepak, or SolidWorks Flow Simulation.
  • Comfort with lab equipment like thermal data loggers and flow sensors.
  • Ability to analyze raw lab data for performance trends.

โœจ Nice to Have

  • Understanding of PCIe form factors and data center cooling.
  • Experience with 3D CAD modeling (SolidWorks, Pro/E, NX).
  • Familiarity with heat sink design and TIM.
