Description
You will support and lead applied research on PK–12 education funding policies, using state-of-the-field methods to evaluate how strategic funding can improve outcomes for students, especially those with disabilities, English learners, and career and technical education participants.
Requirements
- Expertise in PK–12 education finance and funding policy.
- Knowledge of funding models for students with disabilities, English learners, and career/technical education.
- Experience applying education finance research methods to policy-relevant questions.
- Ability to work across U.S. time zones.
- Proficiency in data analysis and statistical methods.
Responsibilities
- Develop research designs to evaluate PK–12 education funding policies and estimate costs for adequate and equitable education.
- Build innovations in strategic funding for special education, English learners, and career/technical education.
- Support policymakers in analyzing funding to improve low-performing schools and districts.
- Manage or lead projects, assuming greater project management responsibility over time.
- Analyze financial and administrative data from education institutions using advanced statistical methods.
