Description

You will drive the design and evolution of foundational Android frameworks at Airbnb, such as Trio for screen architecture, dependency injection, and navigation systems. Your work will directly accelerate developer productivity and app quality at scale across a large engineering organization.

Requirements

• 9+ years of industry experience building Android apps using Kotlin
• Deep experience designing and maintaining shared frameworks or libraries consumed by large teams
• 2+ years of experience using Jetpack Compose
• Deep technical understanding of dependency injection systems (e.g. Dagger, Hilt, Anvil)
• Experience designing APIs and abstractions that prioritize usability, testability, and maintainability
• Experience working in large-scale codebases

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve foundational Android frameworks like Trio, dependency injection, and navigation to improve developer productivity and app quality at scale
• Partner with product engineering teams to understand pain points and deliver durable framework solutions
• Design frameworks with AI-assisted development in mind
