Description

You will provide scientific support to the Laboratory of Malaria Immunology and Vaccinology, planning and executing research experiments in mosquito rearing, malaria infection, and insectary operations. Your work will involve direct skin feeding assays and other transmission research, analyzing data, and communicating findings through reports and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute research experiments in support of LMIV's research program
• Assist laboratory staff and Federal Task Leader with research projects and techniques
• Conduct entomology research on malaria including mosquito rearing, infection, and insectary operations
• Perform direct skin feeding assays and other malaria transmission research techniques
• Analyze and interpret research data and communicate findings through reports, presentations, and manuscripts
