You'll protect borrowers and prevent financial loss by identifying suspicious merchant behavior and investigating fraud and abuse. You'll own investigations from alert to resolution, directly influencing risk outcomes in a fast-moving environment.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Monitor merchant accounts for anomalies and fraud indicators.
• Lead investigations into fraud, compliance violations, and misconduct.
• Analyze transaction data and account history to uncover root causes.
• Conduct background research on merchants including criminal history and reputation.
• Prepare detailed investigation reports with risk assessments for leadership.

📋 Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in fraud investigations or merchant monitoring.
• Strong analytical instincts to interpret complex data and spot patterns.
• Experience with background research and regulatory/licensing checks.
• Clear written communication to distill investigations into actionable reports.

✨ Nice to Have

• Background in home improvement lending or contractor-funded loans.
• Familiarity with Jira or case management systems.
• Exposure to CFPB or state licensing frameworks.
