You'll own the technical side of every strategic deal as a partner to the sales and engineering teams. Your core impact will be guiding technical evaluations and leading POCs that prove Plain can deliver. This role is a chance to build the Solutions Engineering function from the ground up at a company redefining customer support.
๐ฏ What You'll Do
- Drive technical evaluation throughout the sales cycle
- Lead technical evaluation of POCs from discovery to onboarding
- Go deep on the product to guide complex customer use cases
- Influence the roadmap by feeding structured signal to product and engineering
๐ Requirements
- 4+ years in solutions engineering or technical pre-sales at a SaaS company
- Technical skills including APIs, SQL, webhooks, and system architecture
- Experience with developer audience or complex technical product
- Scrappy and creative problem-solving mindset

- Experience in pre- and post-sales
- Ability to explain complex topics to both technical and non-technical buyers
