💼 About This Role

You'll lead the design and implementation of backend services for SoFi's next-generation Lending Platform, engaging from concept to deployment. You'll drive technical alignment across Product, Marketing, and other teams to deliver outstanding value to members. This role offers the chance to shape the architectural direction of critical subsystems.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and implement backend services for the next-generation Lending Platform
• Engage in full product lifecycle from concept to production
• Mentor junior engineers and improve engineering excellence
• Drive alignment across Product, Marketing, Operations, Business, Legal, and Compliance teams

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years as a professional full-time Software Engineer
• 2+ years in a technical leadership role
• Proficient coding in Java, Kotlin, or similar OOP language
• Experience with Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, and Spring Boot or similar frameworks
• Deep understanding of microservices design principles and architecture

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience scaling highly-available, mission-critical systems
• Experience with AWS technologies – DynamoDB, RDS, Lambda, Kinesis, SQS, S3, and Athena
• Full-stack engineering experience or willingness to expand influence across entire platform
