Description

As a Playworks Coach, you will lead inclusive recess activities, teach games, mentor Junior Coaches, and coach non-competitive sports teams at partner schools in Oakland, Sunnyvale, or San Francisco, CA. You'll foster a positive play environment that helps students build skills and confidence.

Requirements

• Pass background checks (NSOPR, state, FBI) and TB test
• Obtain CPR/First Aid certification upon hire (provided by Playworks)
• Reliable transportation to assigned school
• Willingness to actively participate in games and set a positive example

Responsibilities

• Create and lead inclusive recess games for all students
• Teach students games to promote physical activity and cooperation
• Lead a Junior Coach leadership program for 4th-5th graders
• Coach a non-competitive sports club for 4th-5th graders
• Communicate with staff, teachers, and families; maintain paperwork
