💼 About This Role

You'll be the senior-most technical leader on OpenGov's data platform, defining how AI reshapes the platform. You'll own architecture at scale and set the technical bar for an AI-native engineering team. This role offers the opportunity to drive AI integration across the product and establish AI-augmented engineering practices.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Architect APIs and services for data and reporting platform at scale
• Define technical strategy for AI integration across the product
• Establish AI-augmented engineering practices across teams
• Lead end-to-end delivery of features with AI-assisted workflows

📋 Requirements

• 12+ years building production software
• Deep experience with distributed systems, API design, and cloud infrastructure
• Fluent across the stack: React/TypeScript, Node.js, and databases
• Hands-on experience building AI-powered product features

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience designing APIs for both human users and AI agents
• Experience with event-driven architectures and Kafka
• Background in govtech, fintech, or regulated SaaS environments
