💼 About This Role

You'll lead the People Operations function at Baseten, a $300M Series E company building the infrastructure layer for AI-native firms. Your core impact is modernizing and scaling the operational backbone across systems, compliance, and employee lifecycle. This role offers high ownership and the chance to build systems from hundreds to thousands of employees.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead and develop the People Operations team with high standards
• Own HRIS strategy, systems architecture, integrations, and data governance
• Ensure employment compliance across jurisdictions and manage risk
• Oversee employee lifecycle operations from onboarding to offboarding

📋 Requirements

• 10+ years of People Operations experience
• Deep expertise in U.S. employment compliance and multi-state operations
• Experience leading HRIS strategy and systems architecture
• Experience supporting international hiring and EOR oversight
