Description

You will work under the direction of a licensed engineer on new construction and renovation projects in educational, healthcare, sports, corporate commercial, and science and technology sectors. Your role involves performing design calculations, using engineering software and Revit to develop structural systems, and assisting with contract documents and field observations.

Requirements

• Master's in Civil Engineering (Structural focus), Structural Engineering, or Architectural Engineering (Structural emphasis) from an ABET-accredited program by hire date
• Related student internship experience preferred
• EIT and LEED accreditation preferred
• Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
• Experience with engineering design programs (Revit, RAM, RISA)

Responsibilities

• Develop or analyze structural systems for institutional, sports, and corporate/commercial buildings
• Perform design calculations under supervision
• Use engineering software to design and document structural systems
• Use Autodesk Revit to develop BIM models for contract documents
• Assist in production of contract documents including foundation plans, floor framing plans, roof plans, sections, details, and specifications
