As a Senior ML Platform Engineer at Afresh, you will build foundational infrastructure and tooling that empowers all ML and applied science teams. You'll own design and implementation of scalability improvements, such as new feature pipelines for the recommendation engine or real-time inference systems, directly impacting fresh food replenishment decisions across 15% of U.S. produce.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science or related technical field.
• 4+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong expertise in library design, API design, data structures, and algorithms.
• Proven experience working with machine learning engineers or data scientists on ML projects.
• Strong familiarity with Python.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable ML platform components (e.g., feature pipelines, real-time inference).
• Improve performance, reliability, and scalability of core ML infrastructure.
• Collaborate with ML engineers and applied scientists on large-scale ML projects.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.
• Deliver projects that generalize model configuration or enable no-code model deploys.
