Description

You will lead the architectural design and development of advanced test range infrastructure and instrumentation systems for defense applications. Your work will involve integrating cutting-edge sensors, telemetry, and data acquisition systems to support complex test and evaluation missions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace, Systems Engineering, or related field
  • 15+ years experience in instrumentation systems architecture or range infrastructure development
  • Strong understanding of DAQ, telemetry (IRIG 106), RF systems, and sensor technologies
  • Proficiency with SysML, MATLAB/Simulink, CAD, Python, or C++
  • Experience with test range infrastructure supporting high-speed weapons and UAVs

Responsibilities

  • Lead architectural design and evolution of instrumentation systems and range infrastructure
  • Select, integrate, and validate instrumentation technologies including telemetry, radar, optics, GPS, and sensors
  • Design and implement data acquisition, processing, storage, and analysis pipelines
  • Oversee range infrastructure components such as fiber optics, RF distribution, power, and timing
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers
