Description

Lead a team of up to 15 engineers designing, building, testing, operating, and maintaining ground systems for launch vehicles and spacecraft. You will oversee test stands, launch pad systems, and automation technologies to ensure reliable and efficient missions for Electron and Photon.

Requirements

• Degree in aerospace, mechanical, electrical, or mechatronic engineering
• 3+ years of experience in engineering management
• 5+ years of experience in engineering design, testing, and/or operations
• Strong technical background in fluid mechanics and structures

Responsibilities

• Directly manage a team of engineers for ground systems design, build, test, operations, and maintenance
• Develop new technologies to automate and optimize test and launch operations
• Create technology roadmaps, schedules, workflows, staffing plans, and budgets
• Ensure safety and reliability of all launch engineering systems
• Collaborate with vehicle engineering teams to define requirements and verification processes
