Description

As a Staff Security Engineer at Okta, you will lead security reviews, operationalize AI for security uses, and mitigate API-related risks to ensure a secure-by-design approach for critical systems, collaborating with stakeholders to implement repeatable workflows.

Requirements

• Deep technical expertise in application and enterprise security
• Strong background in assessing risks associated with third-party APIs
• Understanding of secure-by-design and least privilege principles
• Hands-on experience in threat modeling and risk assessments
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

Responsibilities

• Lead technical security reviews and threat modeling for enterprise applications and third-party integrations
• Operationalize AI for security use cases (e.g., integration security reviews)
• Analyze and document API permissions and risk levels for major integrations
• Develop and implement repeatable security review workflows
• Identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies for connected apps
