💼 About This Role

You'll build backend systems for licensing, entitlements, and usage-based billing at Asana. You'll solve hard technical challenges around usage tracking and billing accuracy that directly impact revenue and scalability. This role is based in Vancouver with a hybrid schedule.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and operate high-leverage backend billing systems
• Own complex features end-to-end from design to launch
• Partner with cross-functional teams to turn ambiguous needs into solutions
• Drive technical excellence through code reviews, design docs, and mentorship

📋 Requirements

• Strong experience with backend distributed systems and APIs
• Ability to translate ambiguous problems into actionable technical plans
• Experience owning large-scale projects with multiple stakeholders
• Strong debugging and operational instincts for revenue-critical systems

• Experience with billing, payments, or SaaS monetization
• Familiarity with usage-based or consumption-based pricing
• Background in platform engineering or distributed systems
