💼 About This Role

You'll join Kong to design and implement security controls across cloud infrastructure and internal systems, protecting the platforms that power API connectivity and AI infrastructure. You'll partner with Engineering and DevOps teams to embed security into development workflows, monitor and respond to incidents, and help drive security strategy for a globally scaling company. This role offers the chance to work across AWS, Kubernetes, and DevSecOps practices while contributing to trust and compliance for the Fortune 500.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and implement security controls across cloud infrastructure and internal systems
• Partner with Engineering, DevOps, and Platform teams to embed security best practices
• Monitor, detect, investigate, and respond to security incidents
• Perform security assessments, vulnerability management, and risk analysis

📋 Requirements

• Strong experience in Security Engineering, Cloud Security, or Infrastructure Security
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud platform
• Strong understanding of Linux systems administration and security
• Experience with infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, and DevSecOps practices

✨ Nice to Have

• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
• Strong scripting or programming skills (Python, Go, Bash, or similar)
• Experience with compliance initiatives and security standards
