Description

You will develop and test new solid state electrode materials with a focus on composite cathode technology, optimizing formulations to improve cell performance and safety. Hands-on electrochemistry and materials characterization work in a fast-paced R&D environment.

Requirements

• PhD or MS with 3+ years or BS with 5+ years in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics or related field
• Experience in battery R&D with focus on lithium-ion or solid-state battery systems
• Hands-on experience with composite cathodes, slurry formulation, and electrochemical testing
• Experience with analytical tools (SEM, XRD, TGA, FTIR, DSC) and electrochemical methods (EIS, GITT, HPPC, CV)
• Strong data analysis, documentation, and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Develop and test composite solid state cathode materials and formulations
• Prepare and characterize solid state cathode composites and slurries (rheology, stability, conductivity, dispersion)
• Optimize composite solid-state cathodes based on interaction with solid electrolyte
• Assemble solid state cells and perform electrochemical testing to analyze cathode impact
• Characterize cell materials using SEM, XRD, TGA, EIS, CV and other techniques
