Description

You will coordinate, perform, and review technical studies for interconnecting new generation, transmission, and load facilities to the NY transmission system. You'll provide high-level technical guidance, prepare study reports, and participate in stakeholder meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or related field; power systems concentration preferred
• Five years experience in power system planning or transmission design
• Knowledge of PSS/E, PowerGEM TARA, ASPEN, or equivalent
• Understanding of reliability standards and practices
• Proficiency with MS Office applications

Responsibilities

• Review proposed project facilities and interconnection design
• Prepare and review base cases for interconnection studies
• Perform technical analysis (power flow, short circuit, deliverability, stability)
• Identify system upgrades and develop cost estimates
• Lead or participate in project study and stakeholder meetings
