Description

Join MongoDB's Storage Engines team to build and maintain WiredTiger, a cutting-edge open-source storage engine. You'll improve transaction management, scale the codebase, and enhance server resilience, working on the interface between MongoDB's query system, distributed replication, and storage engines.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of server-side C or C++ development experience
• Strong computer science knowledge
• Enthusiasm for designing, writing, testing, and debugging maintainable software
• Excellent technical communication skills
• Ability to manage time effectively and make realistic project assessments

Responsibilities

• Understand and improve WiredTiger functionality
• Design, implement, test, and support new features in MongoDB
• Coordinate with engineers for seamless changes in a large codebase
• Estimate task complexity and report progress and risks
• Fix code defects and diagnose customer issues
