๐ผ About This Role
You'll lead the advertising product vision and roadmap across The Economist's digital ecosystem, balancing commercial value with user experience and editorial integrity. You'll own the end-to-end ad product portfolio, integrating first-party data strategies in a subscription-first environment. This role reports to the VP of Engagement with a dotted line to the Global Head of Advertising.
๐ฏ What You'll Do
- Own the advertising product vision and roadmap across digital products.
- Manage and prioritise the advertising backlog, leading a product squad.
- Lead technical ownership of the ad stack across web, app, and newsletters.
- Define how first-party data is leveraged for targeting and measurement.
๐ Requirements
- Senior product leadership experience owning complex platform-level products.
- Deep ad tech fluency including first-party data-driven models.
- Technically confident with architecture, data flows, and trade-offs.
- Experience with ad servers, programmatic platforms, and sponsorship products.
โจ Nice to Have
- Familiarity with privacy, consent, and regulatory requirements in digital advertising.
- Experience delivering products across web, app, and email platforms.
- Enthusiasm for The Economist's mission and editorial standards.
