You'll anchor and shape Starburst's engineering presence in India as a builder and business partner, working closely with hubs in Warsaw, SF, and Boston. Your core impact is defining the India org, driving high-impact work, and engaging enterprise customers. This role stands out for its emphasis on cross-hub collaboration and business ownership.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead engineering execution in India with focus on outcomes
• Drive high-impact work in benchmark testing, integration support
• Partner with European and US counterparts across time zones
• Define shape of India engineering org in collaboration with leadership

📋 Requirements

• 12+ years of overall engineering experience
• 5+ years in engineering leadership
• Proven track record of building engineering presence in India
• Hands-on background in distributed systems or data engineering (Python, Java, SQL, Spark)

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience in data/analytics space (data lakehouse, query engines, cloud infrastructure)
• Background at companies like Confluent, Databricks, Snowflake, Cloudera
• Prior experience working with teams based in Poland or Central/Eastern Europe
