Description

You will help set up and run Monzo's Payment Operations as we expand into Europe, building scalable processes, managing key partnerships, and working cross-functionally. This dynamic role involves context-switching across research, supplier onboarding, and back-office process design.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of end-to-end payment processes across scheme operations, partner integrations, and issue resolution
• Experience in fast-moving companies such as tech or consultancy
• Familiarity with European payment systems (SEPA, Bizum, IDEAL) and first-hand experience in Ireland or Spain
• Self-starter with strong ownership and comfort with ambiguity
• Analytical and data-driven decision making

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day relationships with payments and banking partners
• Resolve payments issues from third parties or customer escalations
• Support implementation projects: coordinating onboarding, contracting, and programme delivery
• Build back-office processes to manage and scale EU payment systems
• Carry out research into new markets, payment solutions, and potential partnerships
