Description

You'll challenge advanced language models on ASL-to-English translation, classifier usage, receptive and expressive skills, facial expressions in ASL, and spatial grammar. Your role is to document failure modes and harden model reasoning. You will converse with the model on real-world ASL communication scenarios, verify linguistic accuracy and cultural appropriateness, capture reproducible error traces, and suggest improvements to prompt engineering and evaluation metrics.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Deaf Studies, Sign Language Interpreting, Linguistics, or related field
• RID certification, teaching experience, or community interpreting projects signal fit
• Clear, metacognitive communication showing your work
• Live and breathe ASL fluency, Deaf culture, visual linguistics, grammar, syntax, non-manual markers, fingerspelling, and regional variations
• Supply a secure computer and high-speed internet
