Description

As a Payroll Accountant on our collaborative, detail-oriented team, you'll ensure every employee is paid accurately and on time. You'll prepare journal entries, reconcile balance sheets, process biweekly Canadian payroll, and support year-end audits, making a direct impact on our people operations.

Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant experience in payroll accounting, with exposure to both payroll operations and general ledger accounting
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite and/or Blackline, or similar ERP and reconciliation platforms
• Solid understanding of US federal and state payroll compliance; Canadian payroll experience is a strong plus
• Meticulous about accuracy and takes ownership of getting the details right
• Clear communicator who can respond to cross-functional requests quickly and professionally

Responsibilities

• Prepare payroll-related journal entries and record them in NetSuite
• Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations in Blackline, researching and resolving variances within 30 days
• Accurately reconcile and record payroll-related cash transactions
• Prepare monthly payroll accrual and actual payroll expense load files for the GL accounting team
• Process biweekly Canadian payroll for two legal entities, ensuring timely delivery and full compliance with all statutory requirements
