💼 About This Role

You'll build interactive prototypes for an AI Lab at The Economist, crafting web and mobile interfaces that surface LLM capabilities. You'll ship products from zero-to-one, directly influencing how millions read journalism. This role offers a chance to work on novel interaction paradigms including voice and audio.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Build high-fidelity code-based prototypes for user testing
• Implement voice interaction flows in mobile and web
• Integrate LLM outputs and backend logic into frontend experiences
• Contribute to React/Next.js components for rapid iteration

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years of frontend or full-stack development experience
• Fluency in React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript
• Strong working knowledge of browser audio APIs for voice interaction
• Familiarity with mobile-first design and rapid prototyping

• Swift/iOS experience
• Experience in R&D labs or design-led startups
