Description

You will lead two platform engineering squads—Search Platform and IAM—that are foundational to how Housecall Pro scales. You'll drive technical strategy, mentor senior engineers, and partner with cross-functional teams to build search infrastructure and identity access management capabilities.

Requirements

• 7+ years software engineering experience
• 4+ years people leadership or management experience, ideally leading multiple teams
• Experience applying AI/LLM tools to accelerate engineering workflows
• Proficiency in modern programming languages (JavaScript, Python, Node.js, React, Ruby)
• Familiarity with search technologies (e.g., Elasticsearch) or IAM patterns

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage two platform engineering squads: Search Platform and IAM
• Drive technical and strategic direction for search infrastructure and identity access management
• Partner with Director and Staff Engineers to shape architecture decisions for scalability
• Enable domain teams through clear APIs, documentation, and consultation
• Mentor senior and staff-level engineers, fostering technical excellence
