💼 About This Role

You'll design and build production AI systems powering Instacart's conversational shopping agent and voice AI. You'll own the full lifecycle of agentic experiences from prototype to deployment. This role lets you shape cutting-edge AI products used by millions of customers daily.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and operate production AI systems for Cart Assistant and voice AI
• Build foundational AI infrastructure including embedding and voice pipelines
• Integrate foundation models via APIs and open-source frameworks
• Own projects end-to-end from requirements to deployment and monitoring
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ship AI features

📋 Requirements

• Production systems built and operated at scale
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML in production including LLM features
• Experience owning services end-to-end with CI/CD and observability
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration

✨ Nice to Have

• 5 to 8+ years of industry experience
• Experience building conversational agents or multi-turn dialogue systems
• Experience with RAG and vector databases
