💼 About This Role

You'll provide group and individual counseling and rehabilitative treatment services to substance abuse students in a residential therapeutic community setting. This temporary, on-site role in Downtown Los Angeles offers a chance to impact the re-entry population while enhancing your training.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead and participate in group, individual, and therapeutic processes.
• Observe, record, and evaluate changes in student appearance and behavior.
• Compile comprehensive social, legal, and personal histories of students.
• Coordinate student activities and provide training as a role model.

📋 Requirements

• AOD/SUDT Registered or Certified from state accredited body.
• Bachelor's degree in behavioral health and 1 year experience in substance abuse treatment.
• OR High School diploma plus 2 years combined behavioral health education and experience.
• Knowledge of therapeutic community processes and small-group dynamics.

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience supervising interns and volunteers.
• Ability to relate well to faculty and students.
• Understanding of causes, symptoms, and effects of substance abuse.
